Shopping in San Pedro
Small shops and street vendors reflect the heritage of this special part of the world. Local artists and craftsmen display paintings, pottery, sculpture, baskets, hammocks and even handmade dolls.
Particular favorites include locally made jewelry, t-shirts, wooden carvings, and local hot sauces and rum.
Add tropical spice to your vacation wardrobe with lightweight clothing, shoes and sandals. Just for fun, try a native tropical hat!
Those necessities like sunscreen and lotions are readily available, and there are groceries/markets for edibles and other island treats as well as traditional snacks and staples. Enjoy a light lunch at a outdoor cafe or refresh at a bar Jimmy Buffet hasn't discovered yet. Adding to the exotic island charm, you'll find the roads are made of sand!
