  • Golf carts are a popular and convenient way to get around the island. They're available for rent by the hour, day or week — the office can arrange for a golf car from our onsite inventory.

Where's the beach?

You can walk right from your room, across our soft sandy beach and into the sea to wade, swim or endlessly float.

Power supply:

No power adapter is needed to plug in shavers and other electrical items brought from the U.S.

Exchange rate:

Generally, there are two Belize dollars to one U.S. dollar.

Local transportation:

If you prefer not to walk or bike, we can arrange a covered golf cart rental for you. This is a popular mode of transportation on the island. Carts are available for rent at the hotel. If you prefer a taxi, just ask at the bar, or in the office for taxi service.

Airport transfers:

Our room rates and packages include round trip taxi transfer from San Pedro airstrip or the water taxi dock to Mata Rocks Resort. Our reservation office can arrange local flights from Belize International Airport to San Pedro for you at the same time you book your Mata Rocks room or suite.

Children:

Children are certainly welcome at Mata Rocks, and up to two children under 12 are free when sharing a room with their parents.

Things come up – we understand. Our cancellation policy is simple:

45 days of more prior to arrival: 1 night deposit is non-refundable.
44-30 days prior to arrival: 25% non-refundable.
29-08 days prior to arrival: 50% non-refundable.
7 days or less prior to arrival: 100% non-refundable.
